At Bluff Elementary School, children actively participate in the community.

Bluff students assisted in the creation of The Bluff Elementary School Native Plant Garden. The garden was designed as an interactive tool to teach residents and visitors about Bluff's unique environment. Signs in the garden feature Navajo, English, and scientific names of plants.

Bluff students have spent two summers working on The Bluff Children's Sculpture Garden. The children worked with an artist-in-residence to complete four sculptures as well as a stepping stone path, which features their handprints and names.

Visit the Children's Sculpture Garden at the Bluff Community Center and look for larger-than-life colorful animals created by the students!

Long-Term Objectives of The Bluff Community Education Foundation:

1. To build a facility that will serve the educational needs of the entire community currently served by Bluff Elementary.
2. To identify and develop programming and other opportunities that maximize the education mission of the facility.
3. Use the Bluff Community Education Foundation to provide long-term guidance and continued input for innovative and productive educational programming.
4. Recruit, develop, and maintain quality educators.
5. The Foundation is committed to excellence in education and will strive to ensure high standards throughout the program.

The first project of the Bluff Community Education Foundation is to build a new school to replace the current elementary school facility.
