When the Utah Jazz picked up Joe Ingles off of waivers two years ago, Ingles had recently had success playing basketball in Europe, but something was plaguing him.
He was losing his love for the game.
“I was probably at a point where I thought I was who I was gonna be, I guess,” Ingles said in a story by on foxsports.com.au.
But Utah Jazz coach Quin Snyder and assistant coach Zach Guthrie changed that, Ingles said.
“I think there’s always things you can get better with and stuff like that,” Ingles said. “A lot of credit (for my leap) goes to them they’ve taken and the care, the effort they’ve put into helping me.”

Real Salt Lake 14th in MLS Power Rankings
Alexander Abnos of Sports Illustrated ranked Real Salt Lake 14th in the Week 21 MLS power rankings. He noted that RSL, having played four straight league matches without a loss, is playing its best soccer of the year.
“It took RSL 20 weeks of MLS action to string more than two positive results in a row, and now it has built that little unbeaten run to four after Saturday’s 2–2 draw with Columbus,” Abnos wrote.
As the team hopes to make a late push into the MLS Playoffs, Abnos wrote that the recent matches provide positivity to a team that lacked it early in the season.
“The fact that RSL gave up a lead in that draw is disappointing, but what has been a bad season by the Wasatch Range is being given a glimmer of hope by this recent uptick.”
