On the latest edition of The Vertical Podcast with Adrian Wojnarowski, Utah Jazz general manager Dennis Lindsey was lauded as a strong candidate for NBA Executive of the Year.
Wojnarowski, speaking to his guest, Michael Lee, also from Yahoo’s The Vertical, said, “You look at Utah and the systematic building of an organization, how well they drafted, how well they develop their guys. Rudy Gobert in the late-20s they drafted, Rodney Hood, early-20s. Go through the growth of their guys there. Quin Snyder, which was a genius hire by Dennis Lindsey. He knew Quin, he knew what Quin could be, he knew how terrific of a teacher and a leader and knew the tough route that Quin had taken since Missouri and all the things he had learned going to Russia, and the D-League and an assistant and Quin’s becoming an elite coach in the league. Gordon Hayward’s growth…look at how well they’ve drafted there.”
